CNET : In new ad, Microsoft insists Siri is incompetent

What good is a digital assistant if she can't tell you to leave early because of traffic reports? That's a question asked by Microsoft at any rate.

Microsoft insists that Siri hasn't improved at all, even if the iPhone has.
This is merely the latest in a series of ads in which Microsoft has looked down upon Siri like an ugly sister looks down upon Cinderella.

Although I know the method to scratch a competitor's product is very effective to spread their superiority, Microsoft's action isn't looking good.

If they have great thing like they said and it can touch consumers, they don't need to care other things.

Because consumer is smarter than they think.
Does Cortana want get worth more than Siri?

Then, She just show brilliant ability rather than ridicule don't bother others.

  1. @hellogungs LOL, no, consumers are not smart, 90% have no idea about the technology they are buying. Its what they are use to and/or what they see their friends/peers/etc use. Advertising works very well for most people, look at Samsung.

@RannXeroxx @hellogungs I agree what you saying. Consumers can be looking not smart because they can't help depending on fragmentary information like your opinion. But finally, really good things will achieve recognition from buyers.

Like aforementioned, I know this ads is very effective to carve them on consumers in short period. But the ads can give negative effect to their brand because of can be looking jealousy.

Samsung was possible to use this strategy because they were just beginner nobody turn them eyes in the smartphone market. And after increasing sales volume, they can't avoid to be branded as a copycat.

Microsoft is being in the other case. They already lots of reputation in the internet market.

I think their ads can be effective in short period, but they will lost more things that their efforts can be looking just Apple follower.
